Even though Apple is not including the startup sounds in its ‘Post-PC’ devices, the Mac computers still boast this old feature. Just like Microsoft, the Cupertino guys have been experimenting with these sounds in their different versions of Mac operating system.
Well, we’re not sure whether they will continue this tradition in the upcoming computers, but the arrival of next generation devices suggests that it would be difficult to allocate half minute or may be more for the booting sound. Apart from just welcoming the user, these sounds indicate that the computer will be ready to use in next few moments. If Apple decides to kill this feature, people will definitely miss it while using their future Macs.
