Apple introduces New Lineup for MacBook Air, Mac Mini & Cinema Display

As anticipated earlier, Apple has refreshed the MacBook Air and Mac Mini lineup as well as new Cinema Display for this season.

MacBook Air Specifications

MacBook Air

  • Size – 11-inch
  • Processor – 1.6 GHz Core i5 processor
  • RAM – 2 GB
  • Storage Capacity – 64 GB SSD
  • Cost – $999

If you want more space and memory, you can buy 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB space for extra $200.

  • Size – 13-inch
  • Processor – 1.7 GHz Core i5 processor
  • RAM – 4 GB
  • Storage Capacity – 128 GB SSD
  • Cost – $1299

Similar to 11-inch model, you can get 1.8 GHz Core i7 processor and 256 GB of space for $1699.

Mac Mini Specifications

Mac Mini

1st Model -

  • Processor – 2.3 GHz dual-core Sandy Bridge Core i5 processor
  • Graphics – Intel HD 3000 graphics
  • RAM – 2 GB
  • Storage Capacity – 500 GB HDD
  • Cost – $599

2nd Model -

  • Processor – 2.5 GHz dual-core Core i5
  • Graphics – AMD Radeon HD 6630M
  • RAM – 4 GB
  • Storage Capacity – 500 GB HDD
  • Cost – $799

Server Model -

  • Processor – Quad-core 2.0GHz Core i7
  • Graphics – AMD Radeon HD 6630M
  • RAM – 4 GB
  • Storage Capacity – Dual 500 GB HDD
  • Cost – $999

 

All of these three models will run on Mac OS X Lion and will sport Thunderbolt port. Just like MacBook Air devices, you can upgrade it with 256GB SSDs, up to 8GB of RAM, and  2.7GHZ dual-core Core i7 processor.

  • Size – 27-inch
  • Resolution – 2560 x 1440 resolution with LED Backlit screen
  • Camera – FaceTime HD camera
  • Speakers – 2.1 speaker system
  • Connectivity – USB 2.0 ports, FireWire 800 port, Ethernet port and Thunderbolt port
  • Cost – $999

On the other hand, Apple has not released new MacBook lineup and it is being said that they won’t bring new MacBooks in the future. So, now if you want to buy a cheap Mac computer, you will have to choose between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro base models.
