Microsoft to launch Zune Phone Very Soon?

Microsoft Google’s first phone, Nexus One has not been as successful as it was expected by tech pundits. Now, they are also thinking of launching its next updated version very soon.

One of its main competitors, Microsoft is now planning to bring its first phone in the market. Jefferies analyst Katherine Egbert has made an interesting statement about Microsoft’s upcoming Zune Phone.

She said -

“Our recent industry checks indicate Microsoft will be debuting its own phone sometime in the next two months…We expect the new phone to debut soon, at either the Feb 15-18 Mobile World Congress conference in Barcelona Spain, or possibly at CTIA in Las Vegas one month later.”

Zune Phone

According to her, Zune Phone will be released by Microsoft/OEM partnership, and it may feature a 5MP camera and 720P video support.

I don’t know if it’s just another rumor, but it sounds really amazing as Apple has kept its much awaited event in next week, where they will be revealing their ‘latest creation’. What do you think about Zune Phone?

I can’t imagine a Zune Pone will be launched so close to Windows Phone 7 Series which has Zune software included.

If Microsoft does launch a Windows Phone 7 Series with Zune AND an nVidia Tegra chip, I may actually wait in line for a piece of hardware for the first time in my life.
