Motorola has finally unveiled the Droid X. Along with Adobe, Verizon, and Google, Motorola announced the Droid X at the ongoing Motorola-Verizon Droid X event in New York.
The Motorola Droid X features a 4.3-inch TFT screen, having a resolution of 854×480 (WVGA). The phone is powered by a 1GHz OMAP processor, and has 512MB of RAM. Along with 8 GB of internal memory, a 16 GB microSD card will also be shipped with the retail box of the device.

The phone also packs in an 8MP camera, with dual-LED flash to assist night photography. The phone can record videos in 720p resolution as well. The Droid X also features a mini-HDMI port, and DLNA. It also packs in three microphones. Yes, that is THREE microphones – one for call, another one for video, and the last one for noise cancellation. Sadly, the phone will be running on Android 2.1 when released. Motorola has promised to release the Android 2.2 update by “late summer” for Droid X though.
The web-browser of the device features pinch-to-zoom, and the keyboard supports multi-touch. Swype, Need for Speed: Shift and Skype will also be pre-loaded with the device.
The Droid X will hit the stores on July 15. The device will cost $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
