NFC Functionality Previewed on Android 2.3 based Nexus S [Video]

It has been confirmed that Apple developers are working on NFC-enabled iPhones and iPads, and they might launch these devices later this year.

But, guess what? The Near Field Communication technology is privately available on Nexus S phone.

While working on Android development, a developer found out that Android kernel source code have a lot of @hide tags, which are meant to keep NFC functionality private on Android 2.3 based devices. Watch following video to see how NFC works on Nexus S.

This proves that Android 2.3 running devices can use NFC technology in the future. Now, we just have to wait for Android team to shed some more light on it.
