No Jailbreak Update for iOS 4.0.2 and iPad OS 3.2.2 – Dev Team

Apple had released a firmware update, iOS 4.0.2 and iPad OS 3.2.2, to fix the hole exploited by widely popular JailbreakMe 2.0 tool. The latest firmware update does not allow users to jailbreak their iDevices, which means the next jailbreak tool is the only solution to jailbreak the iOS.

The iPhone Dev has been receiving several requests to release a quick tool for iOS 4.0.2 and iPad iOS 3.2.2. Today, they have cleared all the rumors and speculations of their forthcoming tool.

iPhone Jailbreak

According to the new blogpost on the official Dev team blog, there will be no jailbreak tool for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users who have upgraded their devices. The reason is quite simple – if Dev team releases a new jailbreak, it’ll be fixed in next firmware update. So, the team members are now waiting for Apple’s iOS 4.1 update, which could possibly be announced in the September Event.

However, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G users can still jailbreak their devices with Redsn0w 0.9.5 tool. Please note that this tool won’t work on any other device running on iOS 4.0.2, so stay away from it. There is no other jailbreak tool available for this firmware. If you find any such tool, do not install it on the device. It may harm you and your iDevice.
