No more 3 Applications Limit in Windows 7 Starter Edition

Windows 7 Windows 7, the new operating system from Microsoft has 5 exclusive editions and each of them have different features to fulfill the user’s requirements. Windows 7 starter edition is one of the cheapest versions, which will be releasing with some basic features.

It is also known as “Windows 7 restricted edition”, as it has limitation to use only 3 applications simultaneously. If you try to open more than 3 applications in this edition then you will get an error message as shown below.

It’s really annoying when someone want to use multiple applications on the PC. Now Microsoft has recognized the issue and their team is planning to remove 3 applications limit from Windows 7 starter edition.

Paul Thurrott has mentioned on his website about this 3-app limit in Windows 7 starter edition -

Microsoft to remove 3 app limit from Windows 7 Starter.

No word yet on whether the other lame limitation–the bizarre inability to change the desktop wallpaper–will be fixed as well. To be honest, this is a bigger issue than the 3 app limit, which sounds horrible but doesn’t actually come up all that often if at all.

If you haven’t tested Windows 7 then you can download Windows 7 Release Candidate from Microsoft’s official website.
