In the recent past, Pakistani court had taken serious action against blasphemous content on Facebook and YouTube. According to latest news from TOI, they have gone one step ahead by taking the decision of banning top search engines and other popular websites.
Here’s what TOI reports,
Media reports said the Bahawalpur bench of the Lahore High Court yesterday directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to immediately block nine websites, including Google, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, YouTube, Bing and Amazon, for publishing and promoting sacrilegious and blasphemous material.

Although media people are reporting this news continuously, PTA has not taken any strict action over the issue. All websites are working properly in Pakistan and no user has reported any problem yet!
If PTA starts blocking those sites, people in Pakistan would find it difficult to enjoy the web experience. Also, many people are living their lives with online income and it would obviously create a major trouble for them.
What do you think about this ban? Will it solve real issues?
