Your much awaited Christmas gift is here! Everyone in the jailbreaking community has eagerly been waiting for this day, and now we can finally say that the untethered jailbreak is available for iOS 5.0.1 based devices.

Pod2g had sent out his untether exploit to iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team earlier last week. The hackers from both the teams have incorporated this exploit into their respective tools. However, it was expected that the new jailbreak will not work on A5 devices i.e. iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, and it has turned out to be true. Pod2g’s new untethered jailbreak will only support A4 devices.
As said above, the iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 and Chronic Dec Team has released a new Cydia package called Corona 5.0.1 for the jailbreakers. If you’ve already jailbroken your iDevices with previous tethered jailbreaking tools, you should use the Cydia bundle to get the untethered jailbreak on your devices. In case you’ve not jailbroken your iOS 5.0.1 devices yet, please use Redsn0w tool.
So, hit the following download links and grab your Redsn0w tool.
(Note: pod2g is working on untethered jailbreak for A5 devices, and he might release it soon.)
