Stefan Esser, a Germany based iPhone hacker, has announced an exciting news for all those who are desperately waiting for the untethered jailbreak. According to him, iPhone Dev team has begun the beta testing of iOS 4.3.x untethered jailbreak tool, possibly Redsn0w 0.9.8, with his own exploit.
The hacker has apparently given full rights to iPhone Dev team to develop an untethered jailbreak tool for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad -
The iphone-dev-team is already beta-testing the untether. So it is up to them to give you your tool of choice.
Please don’t bother the dev-team now. The deal is: if the beta test is successfull, they are free to do whatever they want with it.
Now that we know at least something about the upcoming jailbreak, we should trust on iPhone Dev team, as they have been providing free jailbreaking and unlocking tools to the users.
Earlier this week, Comex’s exploit got leaked and Apple patched it in iOS 4.3.1 firmware update. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have any more exploits to work on a jailbreaking tool, so the last hope would be an updated Redsn0w 0.9.8 tool from iPhone Dev team.
