iPhone Dev team member, MuscleNerd, has just posted few screenshots of the upcoming Redsn0w tool on the Twitter. The talented hacker has been working on the new features of Redsn0w jailbreak tool, and now it’s ready to release for the public use.
As described by him, this Redsn0w update will be a major feature upgrade for all the iOS jailbreakers and it will probably be released before Monday. Here’s the tweet -

New Redsn0w Tool (Redsn0w 0.9.8b5_p8) -
Now, Redsn0w software will show you two distinct options, Jailbreak and Extras, while using it for the jailbreak process. So, what does these two options mean?
Jailbreak: It will help you jailbreak the devices and will add Cydia tool for third party applications.
Extras: It will have multiple features for jailbreakers which can be used to perform different jailbreak related operations. Here’s the list of features -
- Just boot – Boot into tethered mode.
- Pwned DFU – Enter Pwned DFU mode to restore a custom IPSW file via iTunes.
- Recovery fix – Get out of Recovery mode.
- SHSH Blobs – Fetch, Verify and Use SHSH blobs.
- Select IPSW – Manually specify an IPSW file.
- Preferences – User preferences.
Note: This update will not help you jailbreak any new firmware or the final version of iOS 5. The hacker has simply implemented some extra features for the advanced users.
