Requirements:

  • A Samsung Galaxy S II phone, obvious!
  • A Windows PC
  • USB Data Cable
  • Odin Downloader app
  • XWKDD kernel file (do not extract the .tar file)
  • SuperOneClick app

Steps to follow:

1. To start, connect your phone to your Windows PC using the USB data cable. Put the device in the USB Debugging Mode. To do that, go to Settings >> Applications >> Development and select USB Debugging.

2. Reboot your phone in the Flash mode. To do that, turn off your phone and press the Volume Down, the Home and the Power button together.

3. Now start the Odin Downloader on your PC. Wait for a few seconds. The Odin Downloader software will show you a device connected. Select the options “Auto reboot” and “F. Reset Time”. Leave the rest untouched.

6. Reboot your phone. It’s rooted! :)
