Sony PS3 Firmware 3.56 Released; Hackers Cracked it in Hours

Sony team has just released a new firmware update, version 3.56, for PS3 console, which is said to be a fix for jailbroken gaming consoles. The newly released firmware patches important security holes that are used to hack PS3 systems in the past.

However, it being reported that this firmware has also been cracked by hackers and users are apparently using this crack to run pirated games on the device. Sony’s latest update doesn’t allow users to install homebrew and other third party apps on PS3, but it would be difficult to say how long this security patch will work in their favor.

Recently, they had also taken some serious actions against hackers who revealed major security flaw in PS3 system and used to jailbreak PS3 devices.

After looking at this 3.56 firmware crack, it seems that Sony will soon release another update for PS3 users. Well, if you haven’t updated your PS3 firmware to 3.56, check firmware update option on your console.
