We all have been waiting for Android 2.0 firmware update for HTC Hero. HTC has also promised that they will be releasing the firmware upgrade for the device, but it seems their developers are having some difficulties to design a compatible firmware.
Now, people have started using custom Android 2.0 firmwares, which are much faster than original firmware of the phone.

Motorola Droid, the first phone in Droid series is currently getting all the media attention because of its advanced features. The phone has already been announced by Verizon Wireless and is now available for users. Motorola Droid costs for $199 with 2 years contract with the same company.
Till now, iPhone 3GS is the best phone in the world, but after the announcement of Motorola Droid and its features in recent conference, people have started looking it as a “iPhone killer”. Many smartphones ( including Nokia’s N97 ) have been compared with iPhone and all of them have failed to beat Apple’s iPhone in various categories.

Yesterday, I had posted about Android 2.0, which will be available on future Android 2.0 OS supported mobile phones. HTC Hero users were not sure about firmware update for the device, but today HTC has confirmed that HTC Hero will also get an Eclair update.

After launch of Android OS 1.5, Google has now released Android 2.0, also known as “Eclair”, for all the developers. It will allow developers to design useful android compatible applications for new OS.
Earlier many people predicted about Android 2.0 on Motorola Droid, but Google has confirmed this OS by releasing its SDK to developers. The new Android 2.0 OS has some amazing features, which will help developers build high end apps and games for upcoming Android supported mobile phones.
