Redsn0w, blackra1n are still not properly updated to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 firmware on different iPhone devices, but there is one more tool, Sn0wbreeze available for iPhone users.
Sn0wbreeze allows us to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3 on all iPhone devices viz. iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS (old bootrom). You can use following guide to jailbreak iPhone with sn0wbreeze.

Apple has recently provided a minor update iPhone 3.1.3 to fix some security bugs. George Hotz (GeoHot) has been releasing jailbreaking and unlocking tools for iPhone.
Although redsn0w 0.9.4 tool is available to jailbreak iPhones, people are waiting for blackra1n to successfully jailbreak and unlock their devices. The latest redsn0w tool works only on iPhone 2G and old version of iPod touch.

Blacksn0w has already been released by GeoHot on November 4th. For those who don’t know anything about blacksn0w, it is an unlocking tool developed by popular iPhone developer GeoHot. It helps iPhone to unlock baseband 05.11.07 on iPhone 3.1.2 firmware.
I have already posted a simple guide to jailbreak the iPhone firmware 3.1.2 using blackra1n RC3. You can use this guide to jailbreak your phone and then use following guide to unlock the latest firmware.

GeoHot has released blackra1n RC3 in this week and it helps user jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. Good thing about this tool is that it also includes blacksn0w, which is an unlocking tool for 05.11.07 baseband.
Those who have upgraded their iPhones to iPhone 3.1.2 through iTunes can use blacksn0w to unlock the device. Blackra1n RC3 supports iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS as well as all iPod Touches.

GeoHot has already confirmed the Blacksn0w, unlocking software to unlock baseband 5.11.07 on iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. He is working hard to provide a perfect tool to unlock the current firmware and after lots of efforts, he’s succeeded to run arbitrary code on this baseband.
Today, he has published a video of Blacksn0w running on iPhone, which means that the unlocking tool is in its final stage. In this video, he has also mentioned the release date of Blacksn0w, i.e. 11/04/09. Watch the following video to get an idea about the software.
