Finally, HTC Hero users in the Europe have started receiving OTA updates of Android 2.1. Most of the new Android phones are expected to get Android 2.2 update in later months, but HTC Hero will only be upgraded to Android 2.1.
Even though Android 2.1 is being upgraded to HTC Hero, we have not heard any official word from the company. Users with Orange and T-Mobile will not get Éclair update today as their updates are scheduled for the next month.

Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G is currently running on Android 2.1 operating system. The experience with Android 2.1 is fairly good on the first 4G phone, but many users have requested Sprint to provide Android 2.2 update for the phone.
The company has acknowledged the request of its customers and decided to bring Froyo update on HTC EVO 4G. Android 2.2 will enable flash on the browser and wireless voice dialing.

Finally, HTC has officially announced that GSM HTC Hero is going receive Android 2.1 update. It’s been quite while since we heard anything from HTC about Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero.
Sprint Hero and Droid Eris have already got Android 2.1 few days back, and today HTC Hero users will get this update. Users have been waiting to experience Android 2.1 OS on their phones.

HTC has been working on Android 2.1 since last few months and have slowly started to send these updates to some old Android based devices.
HTC Hero users are also waiting to get Android 2.1 on their phones. The good news is Hero might get Android 2.1 upgrade in April end. A Modaco forum member contacted to HTC to get more information on the upcoming upgrade and he received a positive reply from HTC support team.

We all have been waiting for Android 2.0 firmware update for HTC Hero. HTC has also promised that they will be releasing the firmware upgrade for the device, but it seems their developers are having some difficulties to design a compatible firmware.
Now, people have started using custom Android 2.0 firmwares, which are much faster than original firmware of the phone.

Just few hours ago I posted about Google’s fist phone, Nexus One. Some credible sources have confirmed that Google will be releasing their first mobile phone, Google Phone, in the first quarter of 2010.
Mario Queiroz, Vice President, Product Management of Google, has given some insights of Google Phone in his blog post. He has clearly mentioned that Google team is working on a mobile device which is now being tested by Google’s employees. However, he didn’t reveal the name of Google Phone and its specifications.

iTunes is very much familiar to almost all music lovers. It has various delightful features like iTunes store, Genius etc. Many users have been using it as a media player, but iPhone’s arrival brought many more new things to this simple media player.
I personally like iTunes more than any other media player and use it on regular basis to play music and videos. Few days back I was searching a software for HTC Hero which can be used to sync with iTunes. I wanted all music albums to be transferred to my phone from iTunes.

Yesterday, I had posted about Android 2.0, which will be available on future Android 2.0 OS supported mobile phones. HTC Hero users were not sure about firmware update for the device, but today HTC has confirmed that HTC Hero will also get an Eclair update.
