The much awaited Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 is going to begin in next few hours with Apple’s keynote. Entire world, including Apple fanboys, iPhone lovers and Mac users, have been waiting for this event since last 5-6 months.

Apple’s WWDC 2010 event is happening at San Jose, California, US and scheduled for 5 days i.e. 7-11 June. The event will start at 10AM PST. Do check your local time to catch the latest happenings at the WWDC 2010.

Netflix App for iPad Hacked to Run on the iPhone

Desperately want to get the Netflix application running on your iPhone? Well, a tipster over at modmyi.com managed to get the Netflix application for iPad, run on an iPhone. The tipster basically copied the iPad media player framework and Netflix application to his iPhone, and made some changes to the plist to get the application running.

The application does have a few niggles though. The tipster reports that the Netflix application is a huge battery drainer. He said that around 25% of the battery capacity was consumed, for just 15 minutes of video streaming.

Next Generation iPhone 4G White Model Leaked

Yes, you read it correctly. Another iPhone 4G model has been leaked in China. This time two photos of white colored model next generation iPhone has appeared on a Chinese website.

The pictures posted by this website depict two models of upcoming iPhone 4G/HD i.e. black and white. The black colored model has already been leaked in the US and Vietnam.

Download Twitter for iPhone App

Twitter for iPhone is finally available for iPhone users. As we discussed yesterday, Twitter has updated the old Tweetie app and re-released it as official app for iPhone platform.

Twitter has been working hard to get a solid app for iPhone and ultimately they acquired Tweetie. Now, they have slowly started releasing the new app in various countries. It would take some time to make it available in all app stores.

Twitter for iPhone App Releasing Tomorrow?

Few weeks back, Twitter acquired the highly popular Tweetie app to launch it as an official Twitter app for iPhone. Tweetie for iPhone is known for its simplicity and elegant look, and now it seems that Twitter is going to re-release this app for users.

TechCrunch folks report that Tweetie app has been removed from Apple’s app store. This could possibly mean that Twitter has finalized all tasks related to Twitter for iPhone.

Apple’s iPhone 4G Prototype Leaked Once Again

Gizmodo’s iPhone 4G/HD saga lasted for so many days, and now we have another story of leaked iPhone 4G/HD prototype. Yes, that’s true! A Vietnamese forum, Taoviet, has got their hands on the similar prototype model of Apple’s upcoming iPhone.

Early news from sources suggests that this iPhone prototype has been purchased in the U.S. by a Vietnamese businessman. These guys have also shared a bunch of screenshots and tear-down on the forum.

Android David Wang aka Planetbeing has delighted everyone once again with his work on Android OS for iPhone 3G. Yes, the hacker has finally completed the development process, and solved all major issues in this task.

David has previously hacked iPhone 2G to run Android 1.6 operating system. Many enthusiasts tried this OS on their old iPhone 2G devices, and they are pretty much amazed with the efforts of the hacker.

iPhone OS 4 Beta 3 brings more Useful Features

iPhone OS 4 Apple yesterday released the iPhone OS 4 Beta 3 for developers. The new beta update brings with it some welcome changes to the iPhone OS 4. First and foremost, the Beta 3 update of the iPhone OS 4 includes transferring of files via USB to the iPhone. Users need to use iTunes to transfer files to and fro from the iPhone. About time Apple added this functionality to the iPhone, isn’t it?

Another welcome change in the new Beta is the ability to lock the orientation of the device. To lock the orientation of the device, users need to open up the task switcher interface and then swipe to the left and tap on the Portrait Lock icon.

Multi-touch Support for Android on iPhone 3G

iPhone 3G In last week, we have seen a video of Android operating system running on iPhone 2G phone. The hacker who had developed this trick has now successfully added multi-touch support for Android on iPhone 3G.

The hacker has written a piece of driver code for Zephyr2. It basically brings multi-touch feature on the iPhone. Apparently, Apple also uses this driver on their iDevices, which mainly includes iPhone, iPod Touch and newly launched iPad.

Spirit Jailbreak Tool for iPad 3.2 and iPhone 3.1.3 to be released on Friday

iPhone Comex, an iPhone hacker, has promised to release jailbreak tool for iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. He has been working on Spirit tool, which works on userland jailbreak technique.

As said by hacker, the Spirit tool supports all iDevices i.e iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. In a conversation over Twitter, he has confirmed that the tool will be released on this Friday.
