A developer at All Driod has released a new application for Droid X users, which allow anyone to root as well as unroot the devices with just single click. Now, there is absolutely no need to have technical knowledge about rooting the devices.

When Motorola launched their Android based Motorola Droid in the US, people were desperate to try out Android on the new phone. The phone was really a good package of hardware and software.

Motorola Droid X to get Android 2.2 Froyo Upgrade in Late August

Motorola launched the Droid X just a couple of days ago. Even though the phone has an impressive spec sheet, the most disappointing part is that it runs on Android 2.1.

Many people expected that the Droid X will launch with Froyo pre-loaded but sadly, that is not the case. Nevertheless, Motorola has promised that the Droid X will get the Android 2.2 update in “late summer”.

Motorola and Google unveils Droid X

Motorola has finally unveiled the Droid X. Along with Adobe, Verizon, and Google, Motorola announced the Droid X at the ongoing Motorola-Verizon Droid X event in New York.

The Motorola Droid X features a 4.3-inch TFT screen, having a resolution of 854×480 (WVGA). The phone is powered by a 1GHz OMAP processor, and has 512MB of RAM. Along with 8 GB of internal memory, a 16 GB microSD card will also be shipped with the retail box of the device.

Motorola Droid 2 Hands On Video

The Motorola Droid 2 is one of the hottest leaks on the internet right now. The Droid 2 will be the successor to the popular Motorola Droid. From the leaked pictures, it is clearly visible that the phone is similar to the original Droid in looks.

The only major cosmetic change is that the golden d-pad from the original Droid is not there on the Droid 2. Four arrow keys have replaced it.  The front of the phone is still dominated by the 3.7-inch TFT display.

Motorola XT720 Officially Announced; Sports An 8MP Camera With Xenon Flash

Motorola has just announced the Motorola Milestone XT720 handset. The XT720 has an 8MP camera, and can record 720pHD videos at 24fps. The phone also has a Xenon flash to assist low light photography. The XT720 is the first ever-Android handset to sport a Xenon flash.

The phone is powered by a TI OMAP3440 processor running at 720 MHz, and packs in 512MB of RAM along with 512MB of ROM. The device has a 3.7-inch screen (No AMOLED though!) with a resolution of 480*854 (FWVGA).

Motorola DEXT and Milestone to get Android 2.1 Update

Android Android 2.1 updating is rolling out for many Android based phones, and now we have two more devices in this list. Motorola Europe has announced that Motorola DEXT and Motorola Milestone will get Android 2.1 update very soon.
