iPhone hackers have released some tools, blackra1n, redsn0w 0.9.4 and sn0wbreeze in this week which works fine on Windows Operating System. Mac users can use Mac version of redsn0w, but it still not properly functional on many new devices.
iPhone Dev team has released an updated version of PwnageTool i.e. version 3.1.5. PwnageTool 3.1.5 supports Mac OS X. As of now it works perfectly on iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) and iPod Touch 1G, 2G models. Follow the guide to use PwnageTool successfully.

GeoHot has already released a tool, blackra1n to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2 firmware, which has few bugs in it. The iPhone Dev team is now come up with new jailbreaking and unlocking tool i.e. PwnageTool 3.1.4 for Mac OS X.
PwnageTool 3.1.4 solves all the issues caused by blackra1n. If you have any issues with Apple’s latest firmware, you can create custom IPSW firmware with the help of PwnageTool 3.1.4 and restore it through iTunes. It allows your baseband to remain unlocked at 3.1.2.

The iPhone 3.0 firmware has created a lot of buzz around the world. Apple’s features packed firmware has been praised by many iPhone and iPod Touch users.
The only thing annoys during the entire iPhone 3.0 upgrade process is the weird error message! The very high load on Apple’s servers is the main reason behind this error message. There are thousands of people simultaneously trying to update their device. It would be wise to wait for few more hours so that traffic load will come down and you won’t get any error in the process.
