Recently, many iPhone unlock users have reported Ultrasn0w battery issues to the Dev team members. Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 was released to unlock the iPhone devices running on iOS 4 and iOS 4.0.1 firmwares.

Now, the iPhone Dev team has released Ultrasn0w 1.1-1, which helps improve the standby battery life of the devices. The new Ultrasn0w 1.1-1 supports all the latest basebands i.e. 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04.

Yay! iPhone Dev team has finally released the updated version of Ultrasn0w to unlock iPhone 4 devices. As informed earlier, the new Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 works on iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

iPhone unlockers can effectively use this tool on following basebands -

  • iPhone 4 baseband 01.59
  • 3G/3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04

When Comex released the ultimate JailbreakMe 2.0 tool for jailbreak users, the Dev team suggested iPhone 4 users to wait for the unlock tool as they were still working on few things related to the Ultrasn0w tool.

Today, an iPhone Dev team member, cpich3g, has confirmed that Ultrasn0w is almost ready for the release. The upgraded version of Ultrasn0w, Ultrasn0w 1.0-1, will support iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 and iPhone 3G/3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04.

Since iOS 4.01 is focused on signal bar display fix, Apple has not changed the baseband value in this update. The iOS 4.01 running iPhone devices will have same 05.13.04 baseband.

The good thing for unlockers is that the Ultrasn0w 0.93 will help you unlock these devices. Of course, there is no perfect jailbreak tool available for iOS 4 based iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, which means you can only unlock iPhone 3G with Ultrasn0w tool.

iPhone Unlock Yesterday, I shared a guide to jailbreak iPhone OS 4 beta with redsn0w 0.9.5 and now I’m sharing another guide, which will help you unlock your iPhone 3G running on iPhone OS 4 firmware.

Apple Logo Today, iPhone dev team has released a new unlocking tool, Ultrasn0w 0.92 to unlock iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. Earlier ultrasn0w 0.9 was working perfectly, but in the latest firmware update it has started giving some weird problems to iPhone users.

After jailbreaking iPhone 3.1.2 firmware with PwnageTool 3.1.4 and unlocking it with ultrasn0w, many users found that carrier name and logo was missing. Now, this bug has been removed from old ultrasn0w tool and ultrasn0w 0.92 comes with proper fix.
