Yesterday, I shared a guide to jailbreak iPhone OS 4 beta with redsn0w 0.9.5 and now I’m sharing another guide, which will help you unlock your iPhone 3G running on iPhone OS 4 firmware.
However, this unlock will only work with 05.08 bootloader. If you have any other bootloader, ultrasn0w will not work for your device. The steps to unlock the iPhone 3G are pretty much same, but if you are not sure about it, go through the following guide.
Guide to unlock iPhone 3G OS 4 Beta with Ultrasn0w 0.92
Requirements:
- Jailbroken iPhone 3G with 05.08 bootloader
- Cydia
Steps to follow:
1. Downgrade your iPhone 3G baseband from 05.13.03 to 04.26.08 using Fuzzyband downgrader. [Information Here]
2. After successful downgrade, open Cydia tool on your iPhone 3G.
3. Add following repo in Sources.
REPO: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
4. Search ‘Ultrasn0w’ on Cydia and install it.
5. Once the process gets completed, simply restart your iPhone.
