iH8sn0w, the popular iPhone hacker, has released his Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1 jailbreaking tool for iOS 4 users. The tool is just designed to support iPod Touch 1G, iPod Touch 2G – Non MC models, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS with old bootrom.
Since Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1 works only on Windows platform, Mac users should try PwnageTool 4.0.1 to jailbreak the iOS 4. If you have Spirit jailbroken iPhone, the jailbreaking tool will not jailbreak your iPhone.

Guide to jailbreak iOS 4 Firmware with Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1
Requirements:
- Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32 or 64 bit)
- .NET Framework 2.0
- iTunes 9.2
- Official iOS 4 Firmware
Steps to follow:
1. Connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to the PC and open the Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1 file.
2. Click on the arrow displayed on bottom side of the tool and select ‘Simple Mode’.
(Simple mode is recommended for those who don’t have the knowledge of Sn0wbreeze tool.)
3. Browse the official iOS 4 firmware file of your iPhone or iPod Touch.
4. Sn0wbreeze will automatically verify the .ipsw file.
5. If you want to activate your iPhone, click on ‘Yes’. Official carrier users can click on ‘No’.
6. Sn0breeze 1.6.1 will give you a custom firmware file to jailbreak the device.
7. Restore the iPhone or iPod Touch using “Shift+Restore” method. Now, select the custom firmware file of iOS 4.
8. iTunes will complete its procedure and you will get an iOS 4 jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch.
9. Restart the iPhone or iPod Touch to complete the jailbreaking process.
