Although everyone is happy with the iPhone 4 announcement, Indian enthusiasts are pretty much disappointed by Apple’s decision. At this moment, Apple has no plan to launch iPhone 4 anytime soon in India.
However, there is a good news for Apple iPhone fans in India. Vodafone Essar, one of the official iPhone distributors, has promised to bring iPhone 4 for Indian customers.

In a press release on Tuesday, they have confirmed the rumors of iPhone 4’s.
Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, will launch iPhone 4, the thinnest smartphone in the world with the highest resolution display ever built into a phone, in India in the coming months.
Feels good? Oh wait! iPhone 4 is not going to launch in the next month or so. Apple has already declared the names of countries, which will be getting iPhone 4 in coming months.
Apple is planning to sell its new iPhone in 88 countries (excluding India) by the end of September 2010. So, I don’t think that Vodafone Essar will launch the phone before October month. Indian users will probably have to wait till Christmas season to get their hands on iPhone 4.
Vodafone Essar has not confirmed any specific release date, which means the launch date may get postponed due to Apple’s busy schedule. Airtel is a strong competitor of Vodafone in India, and it’s possible that they will also make such announcement to attract more customers.
Well, don’t get disappointed. We have mentioned few ways through which anyone in India can easily buy an iPhone 4.
