Windows 7 Themes – Desktop Slideshow with Flickr RSS Feed

We have seen the screenshots of Windows 7 Build 7025, but some people noticed that they are not original screenshots and have Build 7000 in right corner which is hidden by PCBETA logo. So we can’t trust on those screenshots of Windows 7 Build 7025. Hopefully, someone will leak the original screenshots of 7025 Build soon.

However you can enjoy Windows 7 Beta 1 which was officially released by Microsoft people. Windows 7 has cool features to give wonderful experience while working on it. The most demanding feature in Windows 7 is its themes. Recently many theme designers designed special themes for Windows 7 and they were also appreciated by users.

Installing and using these themes on Windows 7 is an easy task to do, but have you tried Windows 7 themes with RSS feed desktop slideshow? I’m sure the answers is NO. Well Windows 7 slideshow has a facility to use themes with RSS feeds.

Long Zheng from iStartedSomething has found out that new theme file specifications in Windows 7 allow you to specify a RSS feed as the source of slideshow images. He has designed three themes for experimental purpose. This feature takes support from Windows RSS Platform to download and refresh feeds in background. This process takes some time to load the high resolution pictures from feeds.

Windows 7 will not automatically refresh to queue the new photos in the slideshow. You can either use login/logout or toggle between two themes to force a manual refresh.

If you have installed windows 7 Beta on your system then you should try these different themes.
