Microsoft had released their much awaited Windows operating system, Windows 7, in last month and considering the early results, it’s turning out to be a successful product.
Windows 7’s initial success in the market predicts that it will set many more records in upcoming months for other competitors. Windows 7 is being marketed pretty well by Microsoft’s marketing department and maybe that’s why people are getting anxious to know about next Windows OS after Windows 7.
There were some rumors before the release of Windows 7 that Windows 8 will be the next OS and few insiders at Microsoft had also (unofficially) confirmed the Windows 8 development process. Today, Anand (HappyAndyK) at The Windows Club Forum has shared an interesting roadmap of Microsoft’s major updates. Take a look at it below.
If we take a closer look at the roadmap above, it shows that there is a next major release in 2012. So does that mean Windows 8 will be releasing in 2012?
Till now, no one has confirmed this rumor, but you can use Windows 8 transformation pack which I had posted few months back to try out on Windows Vista and Windows 7. Have fun.

Microsoft is pretty smart at this…It always announces the date of release which is quite late but releases the product quite prior to the date…Might be some marketing tactic..Observed it most-of-the times.
