If you are in the market for a big, comfortable sedan that offers a good balance of power, comfort and safety at an affordable price, look no further than the 2008 chevrolet impala. It offers a smooth, quiet ride with a comfortable cabin and plenty of room for five passengers.

Chevy has redesigned the 2008 impala, making it one of the most popular large cars around. It still has the classic look and feel of a Chevy sedan, but is now better equipped for today's driving styles.

LS and LT models come standard with a 3.5-liter V6 engine good for 211 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque. The LTZ adds a larger 3.9-liter V6 with Active Fuel Management that can deactivate half the engine while cruising to save gas.

The top SS model is a 303-horsepower beast that is best for anyone who wants to feel like a real muscle car on the road. The SS starts with the LTZ's standard equipment and adds performance suspension tuning, 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, and a variety of special badges to mark its status as an SS.

Other safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction control, and daytime running lights. The car also earns maximum NHTSA 5-Star ratings for driver and passenger frontal crash protection and 4-Star ratings for rear seat and rollover protection.
