The 2020 fiat 500c offers a unique take on the subcompact crossover class. It features a distinctive, sexy exterior design and interior style that will attract a lot of attention.
Regardless of trim level, all models offer a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 177 horsepower. A nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive come standard. The all-wheel-drive system has three driver-selectable settings to optimize traction in different driving conditions.
Safety is a priority for Fiat, which offers over 70 standard and available safety features. These include a rear-park assist system, a forward-collision warning and blind-spot detection.
In addition to its active safety systems, the 2020 Fiat 500c also features a premium sound system from BEATSAUDIO. It comes with a 9-channel, 506-watt amplifier and a variety of speakers to provide clear audio.
Despite its compact size, the 500c has plenty of room for passengers in the front and rear seats. Its cargo space is not the largest in its class, but it can accommodate large items with ease.
With a small engine and an automatic transmission, the 500c isn’t the quickest or most fun to drive in its class. But it’s an excellent urban runabout that can get around quickly and easily on city streets.
The base 500 is reasonably equipped, with a 5.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment and 16-inch wheels. But it doesn’t have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay smartphone compatibility, which is a shame for an inexpensive car designed to appeal to younger buyers.
