match game review

Match games are incredibly popular and a key part of the zeitgeist. They're easy to learn, simple to play, and are accessible to all ages. These games are great for classroom use and are a fun way to learn new skills.

ABC's revival of the classic game show Match Game does just about everything right. With a solid host, gameplay that emphasizes clever comedy and a cast of misfits who look like they're enjoying themselves, the entire production feels authentic and fun to watch.

The original Match Game was first broadcast in 1962, and the new version debuted in 2016. This reboot keeps the general format of the show intact: a celebrity panel faces off against two contestants. The contestants try to match as many of the six panelists as possible over two rounds, earning money and a chance to compete in the bonus round. The celebrity panel in this incarnation of the show includes sitcom/comedy star Titus Burgess in seat one, Rosie O'Donnell doing her best Brett Somers/Richard Dawson impression in seat two, a three-named witty actor in seat three (Michael Ian Black), an offbeat mind who's more McLean than Richard in seat four (Debra Messing from Curb Your Enthusiasm) and JB Smoove in seat five.

This match game review highlights some of the most popular ones available on Steam and other platforms, and is a good place to start your search for the perfect game for you. However, if you're looking for a more challenging experience, there are plenty of other options available as well.
