acid cigar review

Jonathan Drew founded ACID cigars back in 1999 as a way to modernize cigars for urban culture. He and Marvin Samel, a friend and fellow designer, had noticed that the cigar industry was stagnating and didn’t appeal to young smokers anymore. To combat this, they introduced a line of infused cigars that are zesty, sweet, and smooth. Their edgy branding and marketing made the brand a hit.

Today, ACID is one of the most popular infused brands in the world. Their flavors are unique, and the blends are hand-made in Nicaragua using premium long-filler tobacco. What sets ACID apart from other flavored cigars (like Backwoods and Swisher Sweets) is that the brand’s tobaccos are infused, rather than sprayed with or dipped in, to impart the unique flavors.

ACID Blondie – A lighter version of Krush and Kuba Kuba, this mellow-medium blend is ideal for newer cigar fans who fear that traditional premium smokes might be too harsh for their palate. The flavor profile is similar to Palma Violet candies, and the sweeter tobaccos make the Blondie an excellent choice for those who like their cigars more in the mellow-to-medium range.

This sweet-tipped cigar offers loads of classic Kuba Kuba flavors in a big 6 x 50 Toro. The aroma is sweet and floral, with notes of lilacs, tea leaves, lavender, and cloves. The flavor is creamy and smooth, with a hint of spice that builds in intensity. It’s topped with an opulently sweetened cap that adds a rich, sugary undercurrent throughout the smoke.
