Brooks' best-selling stability shoe gets a small update for 2022. It's a daily runner beloved by many over-pronators thanks to its bi-directional correction for different over-pronation types. It's the Jack of all trades running shoe.

This year the upper has been tweaked to make it more supportive without sacrificing a comfortable fit around the midfoot. In addition, the toe box has been made a bit more sloped to make it less narrow and allow the front foot to get some space. This is a feature that is also found in other shoes from the brand, most notably the Ravenna 6.

The midsole is similar to previous versions of this shoe with its quad density compression molded foam and plastic midfoot half-shank. The difference this time is that the firmness of the quad density is spread more evenly and not concentrated a lot in the arch side. This helps the shoe feel more balanced in this respect and prevent it from leaning to one side like some other shoes do.

The shoe is available in B - narrow, D - regular (reviewed), 2E - wide and 4E - extra wide widths. It's also rated to withstand up to 300 miles. It's a great option for a moderate stability shoe that can be used for daily training, easy runs and even some faster workouts. It's an excellent option for those who are looking to keep up with the latest minimalist trends but still want a reliable daily trainer.
