The Lone Star State has a lot of cool gunmakers, but few are more renowned for their precision rifles than GA Precision in Garland. They build full custom rifles and offer a few pre-configured models, with some guaranteeing that the resulting rifle will shoot 3/8 MOA or better with match-grade factory ammo. GA Precision is run by Wade Stuteville, a PRS veteran with 15+ years of experience shooting and building rifles for precision.
TS Customs in Hurst is another big name with an even bigger reputation. They started making guns 6 years ago and already have a huge customer base that swears by them. The owner of TS, Travis Stevens, finished 20th in the PRS last year.
Accuracy International (AI) is a household name for top PRS shooters and elite military snipers. They are well-known for their military-grade, precision rifles built for high-performance cartridges like the 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x47 Lapua Mag. In fact, 6 of these shooters listed AI as the gunsmith who built their rifle - including 2 who finished in the top 25 in the PRS.
They are also known for their barrels - notably the X-Caliber line of premium, target-grade barrels. A few of these shooters listed a X-Caliber barrel on their rifles, with some even listing an X-Caliber/PWS combination as the rifle they used to win the PRS or NRL. X-Caliber barrels are made in Kalispell, Montana, and are a rival to other big-name barrel makers like Shilen and Douglas.
