All the Little Lies Book Review

All the Little Lies is a nail-biting whirlwind of a read with lots of suspense and a well built protagonist. It’s a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you think twice before trusting anybody. It’s a great addition to the YA genre and I’m happy to see more authors writing in this genre.

What I love about this book is that it’s written from multiple perspectives and has flashbacks, which gives a lot of depth to the characters. I love how we get to see Lavender and Kodiak’s relationship as children, enemies and then lovers. The chemistry between them was just amazing and the way they were together was so beautiful.

When it comes to the murder plot in this novel I don’t want to spoil it but it’s so good! It’s a bit different to other books on the topic of bullying and abuse but it’s done really well. The way it’s presented is very believable and the narrator does a fantastic job at delivering the story.

What I really liked about this book was the characterization of Ellice and her ride or die girls, Lana and Grace. She doesn’t have family around her and these girls are her rocks. The bond between them is so strong and I really felt for their friendship in the novel. The shifting of narrators in this novel was also really well done and it added to the suspense.
