The 28 gauge is an often under appreciated shotgun pattern that is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Beretta has been addressing this trend with their A400 28 gauge review. It is an excellent gun that offers a lot of features that make it a great shooting option.
The gun is extremely light at the front end making it ideal for a lady or a youngster to use. It has a soft recoil pad and is proofed for steel shot which makes it an excellent all rounder.
It is a very good gun with a very slim profile action and a unique bronze colour to it which looks very classy. It is very lightweight at 5lb 7oz and is a very good choice for an upland or field shooting shotgun.
As you would expect, the Beretta a400 28 gauge is an excellent hunting shotgun that is highly accurate and is a joy to shoot. It has a very nice pistol grip and forend, which is ergonomically styled to ensure maximum comfort for the shooter. It also has a laser cut chequer on the pistol grip and fore end that incorporates the Beretta arrows legend.
Another important feature on this shotgun is the easy loading system. Its wide beveled loading port starts at the front edge of the trigger guard and transitions to a groove that funnels shells into the red anodized carrier for insertion with minimal pressure. This is a very handy feature to have and works very well even with gloved hands.
