beretta px4 storm 40 compact review

The beretta px4 storm 40 compact review is an outstanding semiautomatic pistol that is well suited for home defense, daily carry, duty carry and just having fun at the range exercising our Second Amendment rights. It is an amazingly capable pistol that should be in every serious handgun owner’s collection. It uses a unique rotating breech locking system that works very differently from the hammer lock and short recoil systems found in most 9mm and up centerfire pistols.

It is a polymer frame gun, which makes it lighter than most Beretta pistols of the past and more comfortable to shoot in comparison to other full size double action/single action hammer fired guns. The polymer frame also has swappable grip/backstrap panels to allow for a custom fit. This makes the gun easier to conceal if you prefer to carry concealed.

Another cool thing about this gun is the rotating barrel system that Beretta designed to reduce recoil. This allows for a more controlled recoil impulse that feels soft, which is a big plus for anyone who wants to shoot a lot of rounds. I tried this gun with some pretty stout self defense loads, and the felt recoil was still quite gentle.

This gun comes in a variety of flavors, with the most popular being the G system model, which features a decocker and safety on the slide. There are also the F systems, which do not have a safety or decocker, and the C system, which is single action only with no hammer return. It is also offered in a number of calibers and barrel lengths, as well as in a special suppressor ready version called the SD F.
