BB8 Wide Review
If you’re looking for a blade putter that delivers confidence inspiring looks, but also has the forgiveness to improve your game, then look no further than the BB8 Wide. Bettinardi’s engineered this putter to deliver a traditional blade appearance but with performance driven modifications.
The BB8 Wide is precision milled to 350 grams from the finest Soft Carbon Steel and has an aggressive Super-Fly Mill face milling for optimal feel at impact. It also offers a more squared-off, clean look than the rest of the BB series thanks to a wider flange.
It’s a good looking putter and the head is built to last. It’s available in a variety of set-up options and comes with a matching head cover as well as a matching red Lamkin Deep Etched Cord grip.
Bettinardi have made this putter with a graphite gray PVD finish that will help eliminate rusting, while the aggressive FlyMill face gives it a softer feel. It’s also made of 303 stainless steel which Bettinardi say is preferred by their tour staff, and the entire family features a single white alignment line that doesn’t encroach on the top line to aid aiming consistency.
This is a great blade putter for golfers who want a classic design, but with added forgiveness and a longer sightline than most other blades in the market. The longer sightline will increase the distance you can make short putts and the face will be more responsive on off-centre strikes, resulting in better putting.
