Product Details
The Boulevard is the latest addition to Britax's G4.1 convertible car seat line. It shares many of the same features as the Marathon and Advocate G4.1, but it also offers some upgrades that make it a great choice for parents who want the extra safety features but don't need the full list of features available in those higher-end models.
Britax's SafeCell Technology in the base and HUGS chest pads, integrated steel bars, and energy absorbing Versa-Tether work together to prevent flexing, minimize head excursion, and reduce forward movement of the child during a crash. The Boulevard also incorporates True Side Impact Protection, which includes a more protective layer of foam to better protect the head during a side impact.
Easy non-rethread harness adjustment
The Marathon has the easiest to use non-rethread harness height adjustment in the entire lineup of products (equal to the Boulevard ClickTight and Advocate ClickTight). Squeezing the handle releases the mechanism and moving it up or down is quick and easy, and it is a one-handed operation.
Easily access LATCH clips and tethers
The LATCH connectors are stored in small plastic cubbies on the back of the base, and the tether is in a hard plastic pocket at the top of the base. These storage compartments aren't the worst in our group, but they can be a little awkward to get to with a child sitting in the seat.
The weight limit for the Boulevard is 65 pounds, which is the highest weight limit you'll find in a new convertible car seat from Britax. This weight limit is also a change from previous models, due to NHTSA safety regulations in 2014.
