Article about brother ls590 review

The LS-590 is the little sister of the popular LS-14s, and it is a well-rounded beginner’s machine. It features 25 built-in stitches including a 1-step auto-size buttonhole. That feature alone sets it apart from most other sub $100 sewing machines on the market.

It can also do free-motion sewing by dropping the feed dogs. It comes with a stitch selection dial, oversized needle threader, automatic bobbin winding system, and a built-in accessory storage compartment. It’s powered by a powerful motor which can deliver 800 stitches per minute, and the maximum stitch width is 4mm.

This versatile heavy duty sewing machine is a great choice for garment construction, craft projects and basic mending. It’s a good choice for lightweight to medium fabrics, but multiple layers of denim might strain it. If you’re planning on using it for everyday sewing, you might want to consider a more durable model like a Singer or Bernina. It’s also not a very quiet machine, and rough use by beginners will take its toll on it.
