CAMSKNS designs and sells colorful skins to customize and protect cameras. Based in Cockeysville, Maryland and Charleston, South Carolina, the direct-to-consumer company was founded in 2020. CAMSKNS is part of the Towson University StarTUp Accelerator.
Founder Colin Dougherty tells us that he started camskns review because everyone’s camera has a personality and it would be cool to give them something to express themselves with. The company uses 3M’s “world class” vinyl to create precision-cut skins that cover the best Canon, Nikon, Sony and GoPro cameras, as well as DJI drones and iPhones.
CAMSKNS competes with larger brands like Pelican and Neewer in the camera accessories space. It is a newer brand when it comes to discount codes and promotion searches, but has seen steady growth in its customer base. The company is on the verge of becoming a unicorn.
