BeReal is a social app that asks users to share one picture of themselves from each day. It’s a way to see what others are doing in their daily lives, whether it’s at home or at school. Users can take pictures from the back or front camera of their phone and then add a caption to post it on their profile. The pictures can be shown to friends or to everyone on the platform. They are then saved in the Memories section of their profiles. They can also be exported to other apps like Instagram or WhatsApp. If they want to delete a BeReal, they can tap the three dots at the bottom of the image to see options. They can also choose to show or hide their location on their profile. There is a Discover feed where users can see other people’s BeReal of the day, which they can react to with RealMoji, comment on or like.
Can I see someone's bereal without being friends?
While the intention of BeReal is to remove a sense of judgement and give people the space to be themselves, it’s still an unfiltered snapshot of their life. So, it’s unlikely that you would be able to see other people’s BeReal without being their friend.
To view other people’s BeReal, you need to be friends with them on the app. To find someone, you can search their username or scroll through the Discovery feed. Once you find the person, you can tap on their picture to send them a friend request. Once they accept your request, you can then see their BeReal posts and see what they’re doing in their daily lives.
