The CAO portfolio features a number of smokes that could be called “household names.” From the popular La Traviata Maduro to the ultra-versatile Moontrance, this brand has a large following amongst smokers. But the company also has a handful of cigars that are not widely known, but have some pretty great flavor profiles to offer.
One such cigar is CAO Cameroon, a medium-bodied smoke with an uncommon taste that earned it high marks from the cigar rags. Genuine African Cameroon tobaccos are married to a Nicaraguan binder and filler to create a well-rounded blend with flavors of cedar, cocoa, coffee bean, and spice that will please all palates.
Another standout cigar is CAO Concert, the latest release from this brand that marches to the beat of its own drum. This maduro is a complex and delicious smoke that showcases a unique blend of tobaccos grown in the 2008 Olancho, San Agustin crop and aged with optimal climatic conditions to deliver a rich, flavorful smoke that will leave a positive mark on any lover of quality cigars.
The third and final third is where this smoke really comes alive. The flavors are full and robust with a nice balance of earthiness, cocoa, and coffee bean. The char line is only a minor issue that needed one touch up. This cigar is a powerhouse in terms of body and flavor and is very pleasant to the nose.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of smoking a CAO, I highly encourage you to pick up a few of their standard sizes and give it a go. They’re affordable and enjoyable to smoke.
