CardLife Review
It's an utterly unique science fantasy world made of cardboard that will have you digging through cardboard caves, battling creatures and crafting a huge variety of equipment. With a little imagination, you can also spruce up your gear with all kinds of enchantments that will improve health, damage and critical damage chances.
Like many of the games in this genre, cardlife features a hunger mechanic where you have to hunt for food. You have to harvest materials such as trees (which are chopped down with a woodcutter) or minerals from the ground, which requires mining tools that get stronger the deeper you go. You can then craft all sorts of gear for your character that can be customised by drawing on it with a marker. You can rework the entire look of your armour and weapons too, which is a really neat touch that's well executed in the game.
CardLife is in early access on Steam and while it does have some bugs, it's a lot of fun. You can pick it up for 20$(USD) and take your cardboard avatar on an adventure. If you wish to keep up with the game's release, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist here.
