Colourpop is one of those brands that I love because their lip products are super affordable and they have a large variety of shades in different finishes. Their matte lipsticks are super long wearing and do not smudge throughout the day. Whenever I need to replace my Kylie Cosmetics lip kits I usually get them from Colorpop because they are just as good but way more affordable!
ColourPop recently changed their liquid lipstick formula and they are now called Lux Lipsticks. They are more soft and diffused looking in comparison to their old formula that was a bit heavier and looked like a proper matte liquid lipstick. I really like the new formula because it does not dry out my lips but it doesn’t have that full coverage like a lipstick but more of a diffused look. It feels very lightweight and almost like a light stain that I can wear alone.
The pigmentation is still amazing and they apply like a dream. I use a lip pencil to line my lips first before applying them and it helps to avoid any mistakes or to make sure I’m not getting too close to the edge of my lip. I also use a lip brush to blend out the edges for a more natural look.
I have three of their lipsticks that I’ve been wearing a lot lately, Sauce which is a great burgundy shade, Party Foul which is a gorgeous deep berry and Party Girl-a perfect orange shade to brighten up my complexion. I’ve been pairing them with my favorite eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay that has a pink and burgundy theme to it.
