dermalogica hydrablur primer review

We received this product for editorial consideration but all opinions are our own.

This hydrating smoothing primer blurs fine lines and large pores for a fresh, blemish-free base. The light, non-greasy formula also mattifies oily skin and imparts a silky-smooth finish to the complexion. H2ORelease complex and Abyssinian Oil help provide intense, sustained-release hydration that locks in ideal hydration levels to keep skin plump and soft. And, Whu-Zhu-Yu fruit extract and naturally astringent mushroom extract reduce the appearance of pores to leave you with flawless-looking skin.

It is a little more expensive than your average primer but this one is packed full of skincare benefits so I think it’s worth the extra money. It’s formulated to be more hydrating than most primers which is why it makes your skin softer and smoother. Plus, it has a slight tint to even out skin tone and add some natural-looking coverage, but it’s not thick enough to actually cover blemishes or dark spots (but that’s the case with most primers).

The lightweight texture is a dream to apply, so it’s easy to get a really smooth base with very little effort. It’s a bit translucent so I do find myself adding a tiny amount of concealer or foundation after applying it, just to brighten things up a little.

Overall, I absolutely love this primer! It’s a little more pricey than my other favourites but it’s packed full of skincare benefits, is super lightweight and it gives you that perfect base for your makeup.
