nezarecs sin review

One of the most interesting new lore pieces in Destiny 2 was revealed this week. Players have been able to track down relics that hold the scattered pieces of the Disciple Nezarec, who was destroyed by the Black Fleet during the events of Season of Plunder. iMaximizing recently took on this challenge and was rewarded with the Legendary glaive nezarec's sin, which is a weapon of immense power.

This piece is not a weapon that needs to be crafted, and it’s actually more of a reward that players can unlock by grinding. However, it’s still not a guaranteed drop. Instead, you’ll have to go out and earn it through various activities such as completing public events, achieving weekly Milestones, or playing Crucible matches. This is similar to other exotic weapons that have been released in the past, including Savathun’s Engima and Rhulk’s Ruin.

While it’s certainly not a definitive answer, this reveals that there was some sort of connection between Nezarec and Humanity, pre-Golden Age perhaps. This makes sense, since he was a god of pain and his Pyramid is only a hop, skip and jump away from Earth. Cults aren’t exactly out of the ordinary in Destiny (the cult of Osiris comes to mind) so it’s not unreasonable to assume that there could have been some kind of dealings between the two.

In terms of gearing up for nezarec's sin, the Warlock is arguably the best class to take it on. Not only does it synergize with Void weapons but also the Attunement of Hunger/Insatiable class perks, which gives you buffs that recharge your grenades and weaken enemies when attacking. This combination of healing, reload speed, and ad clear potential makes for an incredibly strong build.
