dhoop ki deewar review

If you're someone who likes soft, slow Pakistani dramas with a focus on family and relationships, then dhoop ki deewar is the show for you. But it might not appeal to those who prefer thrillers and fast-paced stories.

Dhoop ki deewar is a heart-warming drama about two families from India and Pakistan who have lost their sons in the cross border conflict. The two families reunite when their sons’ sacrifice brings them together. But their differences make for an interesting watch too.

One of the best things about this series is that it is devoid of any stupid jingoism. It also reinforces the universal truth that humanity is above all other petty emotions. The cast has done a great job in portraying their characters too.

The writing by Umera Ahmed is good and the direction by Haseeb Hasan is excellent. The acting by Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir is top notch as well. The music by Bilal Saeed and Mehr Tahir is nice too. The cinematography by Asif Khan is also fine.

The plot is very well written and the story flows naturally. But the pace at which it is progressing is too slow for a web series. It would have worked better if it was made into a TV serial rather than a web series. Also, Samia Mumtaz’s dialogue delivery seems too fake. Overall, it is an excellent drama that deserves more attention than it has received so far.
