Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He grew up in a close-knit family, and he was especially close with Quavo (Quavious Keyate Marshall) and Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus), his bandmates in the hip-hop group Migos. He began experimenting with music in middle school, and his talent became evident by the time he was in high school.

The rapper kept his personal life very private, and it’s unknown if he had a wife or children. However, he did have several notable relationships over the course of his career. He was romantically linked to women such as DreamDoll, Rubi Rose, and Lakeya Darshay.

He also had a close relationship with his mother, who raised him along with his brother, cousin, and other relatives. Despite the tragic death of Takeoff, his parents remain involved in a legal battle over his estate.

As for his legacy, the late rapper left a significant mark on the music industry in Atlanta and Houston. He was known for his philanthropic endeavors, and he was also a positive influence on the youth.

Sadly, the rapper was shot and killed outside of a bowling alley in Houston on November 1, 2022. He was 28 years old at the time of his passing. His funeral was held in his hometown of Atlanta, and the service was attended by a host of celebrities and fans. His death was very sad, and his loved ones have been mourning ever since.
