If you have a newer stove, it may feature sensi temp technology. This is a safety feature that helps prevent accidental fires by monitoring the temperature of the cookware. It also ensures that the burner isn’t overheating. However, some people would prefer to disable this feature, as it can be a nuisance. In this article, we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to do so safely.

The first step is to locate the Sensi-temp sensor switch. Depending on your stove model, this will usually be located either behind the oven door or on the right side of the stovetop. You should also consult your owner’s manual if you are unsure of its location. Once you have found the sensor, turn off the power source using the appropriate method for your specific stove model.

Once the power source is turned off, you can begin to work on disabling the sensi-temp feature. To do so, you will need to remove the cap from the top of the sensor and expose the wires. There will be two wires connected to a couple of prongs on the underside of the sensor. You will need to join these wires together, preferably using high-temperature ceramic or porcelain wire nuts. You will then need to replace the cap and reconnect the power source.

After you have completed these steps, you should be able to use your stove as you normally would. Disabling the sensi-temp feature can be a great way to prevent food from being burned or wasted, and it can also help you save energy costs and money.
