Does Laneige Test on Animals
Many clean beauty brands claim to be cruelty-free, but some are still using harmful ingredients and claiming false claims. This is a problem because it can confuse consumers and lead to them purchasing products that are actually not cruelty-free. In this article, I will share if Laneige is cruelty-free and also whether they are vegan, sustainable, and clean.
In their statement, Laneige claims to be cruelty-free and says that they have not tested on animals since 2013. However, this is a complete lie because records in China show that Laneige has been submitting their products for mandatory animal testing through parent company AmorePacific. This is considered a form of dissimulation and Laneige’s stance on this issue is very misleading.
Although Laneige does not test on animals themselves, they are owned by a non-cruelty-free parent company. AmorePacific has not made any progress toward becoming cruelty-free and they have continued to sell their products in China where animal testing is required by law. This is why Laneige cannot be considered cruelty-free.
Even though Laneige does not test on animals, they do use a lot of chemicals and harsh ingredients in their products. This makes them a less desirable brand to purchase from, especially when there are so many other clean and cruelty-free options out there. The best thing you can do is research each product before purchasing and make sure that it is free of harmful ingredients and that it is not being tested on animals.
