Does Uber Eats Deliver Alcohol?

Yes, Uber Eats does deliver alcohol in select cities and areas. Customers can order beer, wine, and liquor through the app from local restaurants and liquor stores. The delivery process is slightly different than food orders, and customers must show identification and be of legal age to receive alcohol deliveries.

To ensure safety and compliance, Uber’s alcoholic beverage delivery service requires customers to scan a government-issued ID when they place their order. Drivers must verify the customer’s age by scanning both front and back of their ID and making sure the person’s name in the Uber Eats app matches the photo on the ID. If the driver suspects that a customer may be intoxicated, they will mark this in their app and will not deliver the alcohol.

Uber’s alcohol delivery service is currently available in Toronto, and will soon expand to other Ontario communities. In the future, the company plans to offer alcohol delivery across Canada. The new feature is a response to growing consumer demand for alcohol delivery. In addition to beer, wine, and spirits, the service will also offer LCBO-approved grocery items.

When ordering from Uber Eats, customers can check if alcohol is available in their area by clicking the “Alcohol” tab in the app. Once they find what they’re looking for, they can proceed with the rest of their order. Customers are not required to tip drivers when they receive their alcohol delivery, but it is always appreciated.
