Does YouTube TV have Lifetime?

YouTube TV is a great streaming service that satisfies a lot of cord-cutters’ live television desires. It offers a lot of channels in a relatively affordable package, plus it includes unlimited cloud DVR recordings (with no space limits). It also features many popular networks and sports channels you’d find on cable, including NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, and so on. It even has a few niche options like Food Network and Travel Channel for those who are interested in that type of programming.

However, there’s one major downside to YouTube TV: it doesn’t carry Lifetime. This has sparked many discussions on forums and social media about whether the decision makes sense or not.

What is YouTube TV?

YouTube TV, which is owned by Google, is a newer streaming service that aims to compete with the big three TV providers—Xfinity, AT&T U-verse, and Dish. It’s available through a number of different devices, including smartphones, tablets, and streaming boxes like the Roku Ultra and Amazon Fire TV Stick. It also works with your favorite voice-controlled device, such as the Alexa or the Google Assistant.

Its interface is surprisingly easy to navigate, although it doesn’t quite rival the simplicity of Hulu Live TV or the more intuitive layout of other services. The main page is divided into three tabs: Home, Library, and Live. Home shows upcoming live programs on a familiar program grid, while Library displays your recorded and scheduled shows. Live shows are recorded up to one minute past their scheduled end time, and YouTube TV will even detect if a game or event goes over its allotted time for recording purposes.
